Since her beginnings as an artist, Martha Jungwirth has valued paper as a medium for painting. Her subtle, intensive color compositions serve to convey her subjective perception of visible and felt reality.

1965 born in Reutlingen
1986-1991 studied painting at the Academies of Art in Stuttgart and Berlin 
1991 snd 1993 worked in Italy after being awarded the “Villa Serpentara Stipendium” of the Berlin Art Academy  
1997-2003 lectures in painting and art history at the Media Design Academy in Berlin 
1995 and 2000 he was awarded the Studio Fellowship of the Berlin Senate for Culture 
1997 he was awarded the Karl-Hofer Fellowship 
Besides solo exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Göteborg (1999), the Kunstmuseum Bonn (2003), the Athens Pinakothek (2005), and the CAM Gallery in Istanbul (2007), he has designed stage settings for theater and dance-theater as well as creating works of Building Art for public spaces, 
he lives in Berlin and Frankfurt
