Robert Indiana (*1928) has created some of the world’s most immediately recognizable works of art. Filled with intensely personal combinations of universal symbols—numbers and letters, stars and wheels—they are most readily associated with the Pop art movement.

Ralf Brög

Ralf Brög’s artistic practice comprises sculpture, painting, drawing, prints, artist’s books, photography, and installation, as well as art-in-architecture projects, furniture and interior design, and publishing the artist magazine SITE.

For the new subway station on the Wehrhahn line in Düsseldorf, in 2016 Brög realized an acoustic installations in cooperation with the musicians Stefan Schneider, Kurt Dahlke & Jörn Stoya, and the theater director and author Kevin Rittberger. The Werkschau catalogue now brings together a representative selection of his artistic works since 1998 for the first time. Three accompanying essays consider Brög’s work from various perspectives and interpret it within a contemporary context.
