Robert Indiana (*1928) has created some of the world’s most immediately recognizable works of art. Filled with intensely personal combinations of universal symbols—numbers and letters, stars and wheels—they are most readily associated with the Pop art movement.

Roger Wardin

strangeness
A total of only 2 of this Collector’s Edition (an original work by the artist plus the accompanying book "strangeness") have been published. Each mixed media work on canvas (format 30 x 40 cm) is signed and numbered by the artist.

Roger Wardin’s work conceals degrees of dissolution, dispersal and melting away. Wardin conducts concentrated examinations of pictorial space and materiality. Wardin’s reduced, much-broken colour palette is applied in multiple layers and frequently fractured or even removed completely. The scenarios bathed in brilliant light create atmospherically charged, in-between worlds from which both irritation and attraction emanate.
