SkulpturSkulptur

The title "SkulpturSkulptur" indicates the great variety of the spectrum covered by the different works of these seven artists, which are located between the poles of figurative and abstract representation, whose boundaries, and not just in painting, but also in sculpture have long been blurred. The tension between works that initially suggest abstract, minimalist spatial structure, but which on closer observation, however, reveal a narrative potential that is rich in associations, and those where the viewer thinks that, due to their direct representation of reality, can be read quickly, but whose access is in fact encoded in an abstract way. The works of the individual artists are presented in alternating dialogue situations and comparisons.
