Since her beginnings as an artist, Martha Jungwirth has valued paper as a medium for painting. Her subtle, intensive color compositions serve to convey her subjective perception of visible and felt reality.

Mülheim Kunstverein: the first fifty years
Since its foundation in 1956, the Mülheim Kunstverein has focussed not only on promoting the museum itself but also the art scene of Mülheim. Fifteen artists, who have worked in Mülheim Kunstverein over many years, some resident in Mülheim, and some living elsewhere, present their latest works here. The artists were also asked to work with a younger artist; the name of the project, Tandem, stems from this idea. This range of artist-duos, thus makes reference both to the location of Mülheim and to the great potential of artistic networks.
