Wainer Vaccari

Fighters

The painter Wainer Vaccari came to public notice through pictures where strange-seeming figures populate a weird and beautiful dream world. An enigmatic eroticism runs through his pictures, his surreal panels revolve around doppelgangers and reflections. His works from the last four or five years complete this move towards the external world. Wainer Vaccari is very aware of the manipulative possibilities of our digitalised world, a consequence of the endless stimulation of our visual senses. Thus, the visual language of his more recent paintings, despite their clear, light and simple structure, appear pixelated.
