On Photography

On Photography presents photographs by Munich artist Martin Fengel, which he exhibited in the central foyer of the Villa Stuck to mark the 20th anniversary of the municipal museum. Fengel invited authors from a variety of disciplines to write personal texts to accompany his photographs. Fengel’s access to an inexhaustible reservoir of images, which he presents in a very diverse configuration, is also reflected in the associated texts. In some cases, the images seem to be telling a story; in others, they are positioned side by side in isolation. This volume is designed as an artist’s book and completes the exhibition in the Villa Stuck.
