Corinne Wasmuht

This publication presents the full spectrum of Corinne Wasmuht’s work. It includes works from all stages of her career, starting with the early microscopic structural images produced between 1989 and 1999 and ending with the wall-sized paintings that she has just recently completed. The works chosen, and in particular the extreme close-ups that the artist created and selected specially for the catalogue, illustrate the very special quality of her multi-layered, artistically meticulous method. The collages and their thematic arrangement show the artist’s broad range of interests – visual structures, architectural spatial structure, urban and natural landscapes, people and the techniques associated with the dissolution of objects to the point of abstraction.
