Perfect Design - Thonet No. 14

Michael Thonet's Chair No. 14 is the first mass-produced item of furniture whose form corresponds entirely to its manufacturing technique: perfect design in 1859. This book describes the back story to this design icon, shows the old and new models and explains the various techniques used to bend the wood. A variety of detailed images present the various versions of the Thonet chairs.
