Otto Piene
Light
Otto Piene (1928-2014), co-founder of the ZERO art group, is one of the greatest pioneers of international light art. This publication has been produced to accompany the exhibition, and it focuses on his first exclusively Light-oriented work. It provides an overview of Piene’s varied approaches to light shows and experimental lighting, with large format illustrations of his light installations. In addition to contributions by art historians and exhibition curators who knew Otto Piene personally, this catalogue contains an interview with Elizabeth Goldring Piene, the artist’s widow.
