Rainer Fetting trifft Lovis Corinth
Wilde Malerei über die Zeit
Using dialogue and contradiction, this book presents two very independent artists, Rainer Fetting (born in 1949) and Lovis Corinth (1858-1925), who are united by one thing: their unconditional passion for painting.
Seventeen paintings and a series of works from all stages of Rainer Fetting’ oeuvre right up to the present day are juxtaposed with seven paintings by Lovis Corinth from the years 1895 to 1917. The focus of Lovis Corinth’s paintings is the human being – a focus that is also a theme in the work of the 91 years younger Rainer Fetting.
