Public appreciation of photography over the last few decades has developed in exciting and interesting ways. From a technical method of recording information it has changed into a cultural phenomenon of extreme importance, whose influence can be felt in almost every aspect of our lives. The author, who accompanied and influenced this development during its most important stages, has selected 18 of his essays and lectures on photography from the years 1980 to 2005 and brought them together in this book. These texts elaborate on themes like art created by artists using photography; also those who combine photography and occultism and photography and literature.
