Kunstpreis junger westen 2005
Malerei
The Town Council of the city of Recklinghausen created the “junger westen” art prize in 1948 to support and promote young German artists. It was the first post-war art prize awarded by a local authority (town council) in the Federal Republic of Germany. In 2005 the art award celebrated the genre of painting; every artist born after 1979, with German nationality or residence in Germany, was entitled to take part.
This book presents works from 21 artists who were chosen from a total of 391 applicants. The “junger westen 2005” art prize of the city of Recklinghausen was won by Kalin Lindena. Other runners-up were Henning Bohl, Maike Kloss, Simone Lucas and Heike Schwegmann
