Klasse Vera Bourgeois

This book is a record of six years as an art school professor, of working with students, with young artists, often for a part of their degree, sometimes right up to graduation. It is memory in the form of a book, a summary of the essential, the capturing of ideas as well as the creation of a new space via a book, a space that had already been examined throughout the course of an art degree.
This work with students focuses on performative approaches, spatial work, language, photography and film. Its also welcome the media of painting, sculpture and drawing. The basic studies class includes the initial experimental steps of students, moving in many different directions, personal art practice and encounters with the public via workshops and presentations in public space and exhibitions.
