Fritz Köthe
Collector's Edition
A total of 300 copies of this Collector’s Edition have been published. Each serigraphy on Bristol Paper (size 40 x 30 cm) is signed and numbered by the artist. The accompanying book "Fritz Köthe" is supplied with this edition.
The painter Fritz Köthe was a chronicler of pop culture and one of the most important German pop-art artists, who ruptured and subverted today’s media-based commodity spectacle, using the technique of décollage as a vehicle. Simultaneously he was a post-modern Surrealist, who in the juxtaposition of incongruous elements sketches a fragmented portrait of our incessantly productive consumer society.
