Christian Megert – Retrospective
Christian Megert is one of the most important representatives of interactive art and has been revolutionising our understanding of what art ist since the 1950s. His most important artistic material is the mirror, which he uses in a variety of different ways: in installations, together with neon tubes, engines and subtle colour planes or broken into pieces.
This comprehensive and beautifully designed catalogue, which accompanies the retrospective in Ingolstädt, presents all of the artist’s works and different phases up to the present day. In addition to important works that were created in connection with Gruppe ZERO, mirror objects from the 1960s and kinetic works and light boxes, new works will also be exhibited, which deal intensively with the theme of colour.
