ENRIQUE MARTY
Real people making ecstatic gestures and mysterious creatures populate Enrique Marty’s art, making him one of the shooting stars of the Spanish art scene. His disturbing multimedia presentations have also made him an international name. He frequently circulates on the margins of what is aesthetically acceptable in his free composition and presentation of sculpture, painting and video. Oscillating between attraction and repulsion, disgust and sympathy, his work becomes an exploratory walk through the abysses of the human soul.
This catalogue accompanies Marty’s first solo exhibition in Germany and illustrates the entire range of the young Spaniard’s genre-breaking manifestations, all of which are always equal in importance.
