Photographs from 1925 to 2009

In 2010, the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz received a generous gift of 129 photographs from the Leipzig-based collector Herbert Lange. The lawyer and art historian had been collecting classic yet contemporary international photographic works since the 1970s.
The collection spans almost an entire century of photographic history, including both documentary and artistic works and black & white and colour photography.
