“Things can only be diverse and should be diverse,” wrote Donald Judd in 1964 about the art scene in New York, and hence rejected a one-dimensional ordering of art history in favor of an open encounter with works of art.

Gereon Krebber

Large-format sculptures, installations, and art-in-architecture projects – Gereon Krebber is presenting his newest works this year at the Museum Folkwang in Essen and the Museum DKM in Duisburg. The accompanying catalogue presents the works the sculptor from Cologne is showing there as well as other works from the years 2011 to 2016 and facilitates a detailed overview of Krebber’s sculptural work of the last five years as a result of a chronological sorting. Texts, drawings, and an annotated index of materials round out the catalogue and make it a continuation of the volumes on Krebber’s oeuvre that the Kerber Verlag has published thus far.
