LOOK. LISTEN. ART IS IN THE CHURCHES: In the new series of exhibitions, artworks by contemporary artists enter into a fascinating dialogue with church interiors. In six churches in Hamburg, Alexander Ochs has curated interventions, sound spaces, and exhibition scenes with works by renowned as well as unknown artists. The church interiors become strong partners and places for discourse. What arise are spaces for “interaction” as well as locations for “bringing people together.” In the accompanying publication, numerous authors from theology, art history, and other disciplines plumb the lines between art and spirituality anew.
