SOMMER NACHT TRAUM

The Klöcker collection from Bad Homburg is the focus of this exhibition catalogue. Over the years, the two collectors have combined a diverse range of female portraits. A comprehensive selection of paintings, photographs and sculptures by, among others, Franz Gertsch, Gerhard Richter, Stefan Balkenhol and Barbara Klemm will now be joined by exhibits from the ALTANA Art Collection. With this playful approach, the images of women are juxtaposed with images of landscapes and nature, and seem to oscillate – in an allusion to one of Shakespeare's comedies – between "Summer Night and Dream".
