Martin Vosswinkel

Martin Vosswinkel’s oeuvre focuses on perception and the composition of elements of colour. On the basis of numerous pictures, this catalogue documents his passion for painting, which manifests itself as an overarching element in various media, such as installations, performances, and photography. He calls his works Lichtspeicher (Light Accumulators), Farbmühlen (Paint Mills), or Gates. Glass fibre fabric and acrylic glass serve as supports. Consciously created within the context of concrete art, Vosswinkel produces opulent variations on “urbane Farbfelder” (urban colour fields) and “Sehstücke” (seescapes), with which he confidently leads old principles over into new dialogues and questions.
