Werner Pokorny
For the last three decades, sculptor Werner Pokorny has been working on the house as a sculptural archetype and symbol of perhaps the key location at which human existence takes place.
His large-scale sculpture ensembles consist of tilted, inverted or intertwined house shapes, which enter into relationships with the architecture of the exhibition building, Augsburg’s historical Glaspalast. Architectural history and sculptural experiment meet in a fascinating and contemporary dialogue.
