Insights into the Vattenfall Photography Award 2011

This third volume, accompanying the most generously funded photography prize for emerging photographers in Germany, presents the winners of the 2011 Vattenfall Photo Prize, together with contributions from other selected participants. As is the case every year, young photographers are invited to submit works based on a certain theme that can be metaphorically construed or interpreted. This year, the theme was “Cooperation” and as in previous years, ingenuity and a high artistic quality are the hallmarks of the submissions.
The variety of positions collected here clearly illustrate the vitality and creativity of the up-and-coming generation of photographers in Germany and show where this generation’s future potential lies.
