Biography
1965 born in Kandahar, Afghanistan
1971 training as calligrapher from the age of 6
1989 – 1992 Studies in Painting at University in Kabul member of the afghan association of artists
from 1995 exile in Germany
1997 – 1998 visiting student of Painting at Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Dresden with Prof. Siegfried Klotz
from 1999 Aatifi has been living and working in Bielefeld and Kabu
