Anton Henning
The present publication is devoted to three site-specific installations by Anton Henning, all of which were presented in 2005 at high profile venues: his Frankfurter Salon at the Museum für Moderne Kunst (MMK) built by Hans Hollein in Frankfurt am Main, the Oktogon für Herford in the newly opened Frank Gehry building, MARTa in Herford, and the 31 Apotheotische Antiphrasen für Haus Esters in Mies van der Rohe’s Villa Esters in Krefeld. And since these installations also partly include works from Henning’s earlier periods, their focus extends beyond his current work to constitute the first larger résumé of the artist’s overall production.
