Axel Brandt

In his painting, Axel Brandt uses a representational subject that focuses on contemporary themes. He is not concerned with politically correct representations. His aim is to provide food for thought and raise issues. His brushwork is generous, in places suggesting a figurative reduction, yet inherent in the whole is a reality which is familiar to the viewer and initiates additional chains of association.
