Bignia Corradini
Painting 2000–2018
Expressive flows of color and precise color fields: Bignia Corradini (*1951) paints on canvas and develops picture-objects. The colors come together on an equal footing, disrupt each other, are combined, superimposed, permeate each other, and build bridges as if they were live. Corradini again and again finds a structure anew that tames the boundless in a form, a fragile equilibrium, a concentration. Tension and flow in the transitions is the theme; the energy of the picture thus develops via fractures and standstill. Viewers remain free to find their own way through the protean world of colors. The book continues the presentation of works until 2018 with opulent color illustrations.
