Christoph David Drange

A Collector’s Edition of three images all signed and numbered by Christoph David Drange has been published. Each image is limited to 20 + 10 AP. Each edition consists of one print and one signed book Hecho en Socialismo.

Christoph Drange travelled to Venezuela in early 2013. He focused his attention on the phenomenon of a socialist society that retains several vestiges of capitalism and is characterised by a culture of inequality. His photographs show the encounter between the aspiration and reality of a socialist country, which actually isn’t one. Hecho En Socialismo—Socialism Today in Venezuela is more than a documentary snapshot. It is primarily a reflection and self-questioning on the current potential of a socialist alternative in the face of an all-encompassing, global capitalism.
