Marc Lüders

The Collector’s Edition consists of a photo-picture (15.4 × 22.7 cm) and the companion publication, East Side Gallery. The edition is limited to 18 + 5 AP. Lüders’s cycle, East Side Gallery, includes twenty-eight photo-pictures—collages made of photography and painting. The photos serve as the background for Lüder’s painting. The East Side Gallery is part of the Berlin Wall, painted in 1990 by 118 artists from 21 countries, an artistic commentary on the political changes of the years just before and after the fall of the Iron Curtain.
