A total of 16 of this Collector’s Edition have been published. The over-worked photos are signed by the artist. Every edition includes one photo and the accompanying book "Big Data". Identity refers to the complete reconciliation with the self and the world, to the balance between opposites. In dealing masterfully with material and technique, Thomas Rieck translates the emotions that are unleashed in the perception of dichotomies into something creative. This is illustrated in many different forms: the borders between threat and humour are fluid; Rieck captures the realistic, the dream, the comedic, the threatening or the dark without judgement and uses it with interior and exterior divergence and diversity, with identity and linguistic expression.
