Felix Dobbert studied communication design with a focus on photography at the Folkwang University of Arts, Essen. He completed his studies with Prof. Jörg Sasse with honors in 2004. He has been working since then as an independent artist and has also led the photography work area of the Seminar for Art and Art Studies at the TU Dortmund since 2007 with distinction. From 2016 to 2018, he held a guest professorship for artistic photography at the Institute for Art Education at Justus Liebig University Giessen. In 2020, he became a member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie (German Society for Photography, DGPh). His works have been presented in numerous national and international exhibitions. He is represented by the Galerie Rasche Ripken Berlin and Caroline Smulders, Paris.
