Sebastian Winkler’s sensitive works of art put viewers under their spell. Surrounded by a mysterious atmosphere, they form a construct that is both poetic and narrative, while the boundaries between the concrete and the imaginary are fluid. They follow a dramaturgy that the viewer is supposed to imagine through association and memory. Found objects and fire bricks, wire or fabric are placed in Winkler’s installations so that they enter into dialogue with each other, as if they were independent creatures.
