Leiko Ikemura
sculpture, painting, drawing
The works of the artist Leiko Ikemura (born in 1951 in Tsu/Mie in Japan) are shaped by a peculiar familiary that is equally strange. Her work provokes astonishment and raises questions. After spending time in Osaka, Salamanca, Granada, Zurich and Nuremberg, the artist now lives between Cologne and Berlin.
This publication shows works created since 1990. The book focuses on new productions and works conceived for specific rooms.
Her paintings enter a dialogue with sculptures dedicated to similar themes or that are abstract formations.
