Gianfranco Foschino
Hidden Stories
With his quiet and simultaneously fascinating video works, Gianfranco Foschino (*1983) is part of a new generation of Latin American artists that is internationally renowned for its poetry and sociopolitical explosiveness. His films are created with a fixed camera, which is aimed at one motif: natural landscapes, urban or rural scenery. They are moments that seem to have fallen out of time, pictures that take a stand against the hectic bustle of our time and consequently captivate all the more. The catalogue documents Foschino’s first institutional solo exhibition in Europe, at the Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken in 2015.
